Firefighter learnership programme is designed for youth of South Africans who expect to know better about how to operate as firefighter, and these are the requirements to meet,(1) the possession of grade 12 and driver’s license code B, (2) attention to detail personality, (3) able to speak effortlessly two languages from three official languages in Western Cape, (4) good health psychologically and mentally, and (5) you are willing to undergo fitness test. Successful learners during the training program will obtain salary and also permanent position depending on some conditions.

The official only notifies shortlisted applicants, and if you obtain nothing in 60 days from the closing date, it indicates that the application is unsuccessful. Now, during the learnership program, successful applicants have responsibility to; (1) undergo various of tasks related to responding and also dealing emergency situation including, fire prevention, standard medical care and more, (2) operate and maintain equipment and apparatus of firefighting, and etc.
