The City of Mbombela Local Municipality in Nelspruit, is inviting applications for the following Internship/Learnership Programmes funded by the following Local Government Stake-holders: Department of Higher Education-National Skills Fund, EWSETA, CATHSSETA & Non-Governmental Organisations.
Closing date is 02 December at 12h00
Candidates must posses the following qualifications to qualify for the Internship Programme
1. TVET College: NCI (12 Months)
Remuneration: R 3 000 monthly

  • Civil Engineering

Electrical Engineering and equivalent Engineering
2. TVET College: N6 (18 Months)
Remuneration: R 3 000 monthly

  • Human Resources Management
  • Human Resources Development
  • Information Technology
  • Labour Relations
  • Public Management

3. National Diploma/ B Tech (12 Months)
Remuneration:R 3 500 monthly

  • Development Studies
  • Environmental Science
  • Internal Audit
  • Local Economic Development
  • Municipal Finance Project Management
  • Sport Sciences
  • Town Planning (Urban and Rural Management)

4. University Degree (12-24 Months)
Remuneration:R 5 000 – R 7 000 monthly

  • Development Studies

  • Information Technology
  • Municipal Finance
  • Town Planning (Urban and Rural Management)

Requirements for Learnership Programme
1. Apprenticeships for leaners with Grade 12 – English, Maths and Physical Science (12 months)
Remuneration:R1 800 monthly

  • Electrical Engineering
  • Fitter and Turner (Mechanical Engineering)
  • Fire fighter 1&11
  • Instrumental ( Water Plants)
  • Welding

2. Natural Resource Management Terrestrial Learnership (12 Months)
Remuneration:R 2 000 monthly

  • TVET NCV/Grade 12 with English and Maths
  • Previous Experience in Nature Conservation Guardianship
  • Occupational Competence will serve as an added advantage.

3. Traffic Officer Learmership (12 Months)
Remuneration:R 3 500 monthly

  • Grade 12 and a Valid Driving License
  • Younger than 35 years of age,
  • Must have no Criminal record.

4. Road Works Maintenance (12 Months)
Remuneration: R 2 500 monthly

  • Must have a NQF Level 2/Grade 10

Who is eligible to apply?

  1. South African citizens who are permanent residents of the City of Mbombela.
  2. Applicants must not have participated in any Internship programme.
