Metsimaholo Local Municipality Learnerships

This qualification will serve as a basis for further learning and will equip learners with skills, knowledge and values to participate meaningfully in society and contribute towards developing sustainable communities. Successful learners will receive a monthly stipend of R1 500.00.
1. Further education & training certificate: Generic Management Risk Management  (05 Posts)
Requirements: Grade 12 (Mathematics or Mathematics literacy), Age: 18 – 35
Demonstrate knowledge in: – • Risk assessment and reduction. • Emergency service • Organizing and arranging campaigns/ programmes to provide communities with information and advice on disaster prevention and recovery techniques.
2 Further education & training certificate: Road Transport Management in Public Sector  (05 Posts)
Requirements: Grade 12 (Mathematics or Mathematics literacy), Age: 18 – 35
Demonstrate knowledge in :- • National road haulage operations. • Road traffic operations and fleet management • Documentation generated within the organization is kept safe as required within policies and procedures. • Operate comprehensive transport support structure in the SA public Services Sector.
3. National Certificate: Water & Waste water Process Control  (05 Posts)
Requirements: Grade 12 (Mathematics or Mathematics literacy and Physical Science), Age: 18 – 35
Demonstrate knowledge in:- • Process control in water and waste water treatment plants. • Operate and monitor preliminary processes in wastewater treatment • Knowledge of pumping systems
4. Further Education & Training Certificate: Plumbing (05 Posts)
Requirements: Grade 12 (Mathematics or Mathematics literacy and Physical Science)
Demonstrate knowledge in:- • Install, maintain, test and repaid soil water and vent systems and sanitary ware appliances. • Maintain and repair damaged sections of pipes and connections, clean drain blockages.
5. National Certificate: Landscape (05 Posts)
Requirements: Grade 12
Demonstrate knowledge in:- • Providing care for ornamental plants • Understand various components flowering. • Perform the mowing and de-thatching of sportsturf or landscaped grass areas. • Tree pruning
