The National Film and Video Foundation NFVF call for Cycle 3 applications is now open


 
The National Film and Video Foundation call for Cycle 3 applications is now open.
9 January : The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), an agency of the Department of Arts and Culture is pleased to announce the call for Cycle 3 applications is now open.
The NFVF calls for applicants for the following areas of funding:

  • Training Provider
  • Production and Development

Opening date for submission – 9 January
Closing date for submission – 6 February
Please note

  • Funds for tier 1 fiction production & tier 2 fiction development and production have been depleted.
  • Funds for marketing and distribution have been depleted for this financial year.
  • Funds for market and festival attendance have been depleted for this financial year.
  • Funds for festival grants have been depleted for this financial year.

No e-mail submissions will be accepted. Closing date for applications is 6 February
PLEASE NOTE:
 

  • Failure to provide all requested information will lead to automatic disqualification of the application.
  • No late applications will be considered.
    Should there be a change of contact details the onus is on the applicant to notify NFVF.
  • Applicants will be advised of the decision in writing following funding approval meetings.
  • Approved applicants will be published on the NFVF website.
  • No applications shall be returned to the applicant.
  • Do not submit any extra material, e.g. videos, photographs, etc (unless requested).
  • Applicant can insert a link to his/her project.
  • Should the applicant or recipient not be contactable for 2 months at the given address or contact number from the date of receipt of a grant. The grant will be cancelled.

The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) is governed by the National Film and Video  Foundation Act 73 of 1997 as amended by Cultural Laws Amendment Act 36 of 2001. The mandate of the NFVF, in terms of section 3 of the Act, is:
To promote and develop the film and video industry;
To provide and encourage the provision of opportunities for persons, especially from disadvantaged communities to get involved in the film and video industry;
To encourage the development and distribution of local film and video products;
To support the nurturing and development of access to the film and video industry;
To address historical imbalances in the infrastructure and distribution of skills and resources in the film and video
