What is Kuyasa learnership?

Kuyasa is a learnership program that is designed to provide young South Africans with the opportunity to gain work experience, develop their skills, and increase their employability in the job market. The program is targeted specifically at unemployed black youth who have completed Grade 12 and are between the ages of 18 and 35.

The Kuyasa learnership program is funded by the Services SETA and is managed by the Banking Sector Education and Training Authority (BANKSETA). The program is offered in partnership with a number of different financial institutions, including banks, insurance companies, and other financial services providers.

The Kuyasa learnership program typically lasts for 12 months and includes both theoretical and practical training. Participants in the program receive a monthly stipend to cover their living expenses during the program.

During the program, participants are placed in a specific role within a financial institution and are provided with on-the-job training and support from experienced professionals. They also receive classroom-based training to develop their technical and soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.

At the end of the program, participants receive a nationally recognized qualification and may be offered a permanent position with the financial institution where they completed their learnership, depending on their performance during the program and the availability of suitable positions within the company.

Overall, the Kuyasa learnership program is designed to provide young South Africans with a valuable opportunity to gain work experience, develop their skills, and increase their chances of finding employment in the financial services industry.
